Remarks

The debut quadrille was premiered at the very first public appearance by Johann Strauss Sohn on October 15, 1844 in Dommayers Casino . This explains the title name. In addition to some works by other composers, the young composer also appeared in front of his audience with his own compositions. In addition to this quadrille, this also included the waltz epic poems (op. 1). According to the French model, the quadrille is divided into the five parts Pantalon (The Trousers); Ete (The Summer); Poule (The Hen); Trenis (The Separation) and Pastourelle (The Shepherd). The work ends with the finale.
