Decaying is a Finnish death metal band from Helsinki that was formed in 2010.
history
The band was founded in summer 2010 by bassist, guitarist and singer Matias Nastolin and guitarist Olli Suurmunne. Together they developed the first songs and released the first demo New Order on November 17, 2010. The second demo, The Annihilator, followed on February 16, 2011. Drummer Benjam Lahdenpää joined the band in April 2011. Guitarist Otso Polenius replaces Olli Suurmunne in May 2011. On May 1, 2011 the band released their debut album called Devastate via Hellthrasher Productions . At the beginning of July Otso Polenius was replaced by Henri Hirvonen. The recordings for the second album Encirclement began in August. The album was released on January 2, 2012.

The band plays classic death metal and is comparable to groups like Bolt Thrower , Hail of Bullets , Asphyx , as well as old works by Sentenced , Amorphis and Demigod .
