Dee and Patty , also known as Pat and Dee , were an American rockabilly duo .

Career

Dee and Patty consisted of Dwight Mullinax (* in Grafford , Texas ) and Lynda Timmons, who worked under their stage names "Dee Mullins" and "Patsy Timmons". The duo released their first record in February 1958 on Mercury Records with First Date / Parking . Mercury released a second version of the single that same month. In the summer, Mullins and Timmons recorded as "Pat & Dee" for Dixie Records and each also played a solo track that appeared on an EP. In October Dee and Patty then switched to Pappy Daily's newly founded label D Records , where they released another single and were then active as soloists. Timmons released several records under her name and Dee Mullins also recorded the single I've Got A Right To Cry / Worlds A Lie for D, which was released in 1959. In addition to their work in the studio, Dee and Patty also played appearances with other rockabilly artists such as Dick Penner (from Wade and Dick ) and Gene Vincent in Texas. The duo also made guest appearances at the Louisiana Hayride and performed regularly at Cowtown Hoedown on KCUL. Dee Mullins died in 1991.
