history

New Degenfelder Schanze under construction

The Winterhalderschanze was built in 1925/26 and inaugurated in 1926. A year later, the first Swabian championships took place on site. After the Second World War , Swabian Championships were held again for the first time in 1947. Because of the great popularity of the audience, the ski jumping events were held on the Winterhalderschanze in the 1950s. After a long planning period, the Kaltefeldschanzen were built between 1990 and 1992. After these plastic covered hills were built, Degenfeld became a base in the Swabian Ski Association . At the smallest K 15 hill, the ceramic inrun track was replaced in 2011 by a stainless steel track with inserted ceramic studs.

From 2003 to 2013 the club SC Degenfeld planned to build a new medium plastic covered hill K 70. The construction should cost 1.3 million euros. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 26, 2013, and the inauguration took place on June 25, 2017.
