Dike digger rod

The dike digger rod was one of the four rods permitted in Prussia . The Prussian length measure was only permissible in trench and dike construction, in stone bridge maintenance and similar work. The other three rods were the Culmian rod , Oletzkosche rod (as a chamber rod) and the Rhineland rod .

  • 1 dike digger rod = 15 feet (1 Prussian = 0.314 meters) = 4.708 meters
  • 4 dike digger rod (old) = 5 rods (1 Prussian. = 3.766 meters)
