Deitsch is a German folk band .

The core of Deitsch are the singer and violinist Gudrun Walther and the guitarist and singer Jürgen Treyz. The two musicians live in Baden-Württemberg, but tour nationwide and mostly sing old German songs, ballads and dances, but also with some foreign folkloric influences. In order not to falsify the mostly dialect original texts through incorrect dialect pronunciation, they read them out in standard German.

Both musicians are or were part of other folk bands such as La Marmotte and Cara as well as the band Adaro, which was dissolved in 2006 .
