The decor template manufacturer was a state-recognized training occupation in Germany under the Vocational Training Act .

Duration of training and structure

The training period to become a decor template manufacturer is usually three years. The training takes place at the training company and vocational school .

Work areas

Décor template manufacturers create printing templates and shapes to print ceramic products such as plates, cups, wall plates or glass and enamel . To do this, they use existing templates that they copy or create new ones on the PC. You check the template for completeness and then mount the decorative elements on a film. The printing form for offset or screen printing is made from this. In the case of ceramic products, the decor is burned in.

Decor template manufacturers find their place of work in companies that offer screen or ceramic printing. But you can also work in advertising agencies.
