Delia Gyger
Barbara Delia Gyger (born April 27, 1987 in Basel ) is a Swiss actress who has appeared in over twenty independent films as well as in several theater and TV productions .
Life
She stood on stage for the first time at the age of seven. After graduating from high school in Liestal in the fields of Spanish, English and theater, Delia Gyger went to Germany to complete her four-year acting training at the Athanor Academy for the Performing Arts in Burghausen .
In 2006 he studied at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles / USA. During her stay, she made over 15 short films .
After completing her acting studies in 2008, Delia Gyger moved to Hamburg. The short film Discipline with her in the lead role was awarded, among other things, the BDFA Film Prize in 2009, whereby the excellent acting performance of the actors was explicitly praised. Discipline has also been shown at various prestigious film festivals, including the Festival de Cannes, the UNICA World Film Festival and the Cambridge Film Festival.
Delia Gyger is trained in show and stage combat and has mastered sword and dagger fighting as well as epee fencing.
Since June 2009 the actress has been a member of the Hamburg acting ensemble of Merlin Entertainment and is on stage almost every day. She also works as a presenter and filmmaker.
