Daniel Christensen (born August 29, 1978 in Wasserburg am Inn ) is a German-Danish actor .

Life

The Daniel Christensens family fled from Prague first to Denmark and later to Bavaria. Due to his grandmother's marriage to a Dane, his maternal family is Danish; his father was born in Fürstenfeldbruck. Christensen grew up in Raitenhaslach near Burghausen and went to school there. From 1995 to 1999 he attended the Athanor Academy for Performing Arts (this was in Burghausen / Obb. Until 2014 and has been based in Passau since 2014), Christensen made his first stage experiences between 1998 and 2000 in Austria at the Salzburg State Theater and the Theater in der Josefstadt . Other stages in his theater career were, among others, the Théâtre national de Strasbourg , the plays in Hanover and Frankfurt (of which he was a permanent member of the 2001/02 and 2004/05 ensemble), the Grillo-Theater in Essen , the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus and the Basel Theater . Christensen has performed in Hinkemann of Ernst Toller and as Pozzo in Beckett's Waiting for Godot . In Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther , he embodied the title character, in Kabale und Liebe by Friedrich Schiller he was on stage as Ferdinand .

In addition to his acting training, Daniel Christensen studied biomechanics , sword and epee fighting as well as dance and body expression.

Daniel Christensen first appeared in front of the camera for television in 2006 in the series SOKO Rhein-Main and Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei .
