Tripur ( Nepali त्रिपुर ) is a city ( municipality ) in the Dang Deukhuri district in southwestern Nepal .
The city was created at the end of 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Dhikpur , Hapur and Narayanpur .
It is located on the Babai River in the Inner Terai . In the east Tripur borders on Ghorahi . The urban area covers 117 km².
Residents
In the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the city of Tripur emerged, had 41,183 inhabitants (18,617 of them male) in 8951 households.
