The Babai crosses the border to India in the lower reaches and meets the Ghaghara below the mouth of the Sharda . The Babai has a length of about 400 km. Its catchment area covers 3700 km², of which 3500 km² are in Nepal. The mean discharge at the Chepang gauge above the confluence of the Sharada Khola is 71 m³ / s.
