Rapti ( Nepali राप्ती अञ्चल Rapti Anchal ) was one of the 14 former administrative zones in Nepal .
It was named after the Rapti River , a left tributary of the Ghaghara , and was located in the then developing region of the Midwest . The administrative seat was Tulsipur .
Rapti consisted of 5 districts:
Through the constitution of September 20, 2015 and the resulting reorganization of Nepal into provinces, the districts of this zone were divided and assigned to the newly created Province No. 5 and the Province of Karnali (initially No. 6).
