The Salyan District ( Nepali सल्यान जिल्ला Salyān Jillā ) is one of 77 districts in Nepal and has belonged to the Karnali Province since the 2015 constitution .

Residents

At the 2001 census it had 213,500 inhabitants; In 2011 there were 241,716. The administrative seat is Khalanga (also Salyan Khalanga ), capital of the city of Sharada .
