Willi Cryns (born August 29, 1952 in Cologne ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Willi Cryns played in the 1976/77 season with SG Union Solingen in the 2nd Bundesliga . He made his debut on the first match day when he was substituted on by coach Norbert Wagner in the second half of the home game against Hannover 96 . At the end of the season, Cryns and Solingen parted ways, he went to league rival Arminia Bielefeld . With the Arminia he was champion of the northern season and thus rose to the Bundesliga . In the first division Cyrns was substituted on twice, then he moved to the USA at the beginning of 1979 and played with San Jose Earthquakes in the North American Soccer League . For the 1980/81 season he returned to Holstein Kiel in the 2nd Bundesliga . For Holstein he completed 35 games in the 2nd division and was relegated. After Cryns had ended his career in 1983, he was reactivated in the 1984/85 season and played another 23 games for Kiel before he finally ended his active career in 1985 and was coach of the second team at Holstein.
