Bagchaur ( Nepali बागचौर ) is a city ( municipality ) in Salyan District in Karnali Province in southwestern Nepal .
The city was created in 2015 from the amalgamation of the Village Development Committees (VDC) Kotbara , Kotmala , Pipal Neta , Sibaratha and Tharmare . In the course of the restructuring of the local level and the creation of the Gaunpalikas (rural communities) by merging and abolishing the Village Development Committees on March 10, 2017, the VDC Baphukhola was incorporated .
The city administration is located in the district and former VDC Tharmare .
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDC that formed the city of Bagchaur had 30,039 inhabitants. After the incorporation of VDC Baphukhola , the population is 34,118 .
