The district Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Municipality Susta East) ( Nepalese नवलपरासी (बर्दघाट सुस्ता पूर्व)) is a district in the province Gandaki in Nepal .

The district was created by dividing the Nawalparasi district into the newly created provinces of Gandaki (formerly No. 4) and No. 5 by the constitution of 2015 . On September 22nd, 2017, the district's assembly of deputies moved to name the district Nawalpur , but experts from the federal government determined that the name of the district could only be changed by changing the constitution of Nepal with a two-thirds majority, as the name of the new district in Appendix 4 of the Constitution.
