Kawasoti ( Nepali कावासोती Kawasoti ) is a city ( municipality ) in the district of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) in the Nepalese province of Gandaki . It is the capital of this district.

Kawasoti is located on the right bank of the Narayani in the middle Terai . The Mahendra Rajmarg highway runs through Kawasoti. The city was created in 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees Agauli , Kawasoti , Pithauli and Shivamandir . The urban area covers 94.1 km².

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Kawasoti had 56,788 inhabitants (26,091 of them male) in 12,866 households.
