Dhaulagiri ( Nepali धौलागिरी अञ्चल Dhaulagiri Anchal ) was one of the 14 former administrative zones in Nepal .
It was named after the highest mountain in the zone, Dhaulagiri , and was located in what was then the western development region in central Nepal. The administrative zone extended over the upper river valley of the Kali Gandaki and the mountainous region south of the Dhaulagiri massif . The administrative seat of the zone was the city of Baglung .
The zone consisted of the following 4 districts:
Through the constitution of September 20, 2015 and the resulting reorganization of Nepal into provinces, the districts of this zone were assigned to the newly created province of Gandaki (initially Province No. 4).
