The Central Development Region ( Nepali मध्यमाञ्चल विकास क्षेत्र Madyamānchal Bikās Kshetra ) was one of five developing regions in Nepal .
It had an area of 10,583 km² and consisted of the following administrative zones:
At the 2011 census, the region had 9,656,985 inhabitants, a good third of the total population of Nepal. The administrative seat was Hetauda .
