Lamahi ( Nepali लमही ) is a city ( municipality ) in the southwest of Nepal in the Dang Deukhuri district .

The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Chaulahi and Sonpur . Lamahi lies above the confluence of the Arun Khola with the Rapti in the Inner Terai . The urban area covers 104.4 km².

The Mahendra Rajmarg highway runs through Lamahi.

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Lamahi had 34,285 inhabitants (16,445 male) in 6,931 households.
