Le Vigan is a French commune with 1,603 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Gourdon and Canton Gourdon . The inhabitants are called "Vigannais" or "Vigannaises".
geography
The municipality is located on the Bléou River in the Bouriane countryside on the D801 departmental road, 5 km east of Gourdon , and on the D673 departmental road.
Le Vigan is surrounded by the neighboring communities Payrac in the north, Saint-Projet in the east, Gourdon in the west and Anglars-Nozac and Rouffilhac in the north-west.
