The municipality of Ussel is located about 20 kilometers north of Cahors in the south of the Haut Quercy landscape . Neighboring municipalities are Montamel in the northwest, Lamothe-Cassel in the north, Les Pechs du Vers in the east, Nadillac in the southeast, Francoulès in the south, Les Pechs du Vers and Mechmont in the west.
