Cavagnac ( Occitan : Cavanhac ) is a southern French municipality with 461 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Gourdon and the canton of Martel (until 2015: canton of Vayrac ). The inhabitants are called Cavagnacais .

Cavagnac is in the north of the Quercy . Cavagnac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ligneyrac in the north and northwest, Saillac in the north, Chauffour-sur-Vell in the east, Condat in the south and southeast, Les Quatre-Routes-du-Lot in the south, Cazillac in the west and southwest and Sarrazac in the west .
