Lauzès is a French commune with 189 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Gourdon and the canton of Causse et Vallées .

The municipality is located around 18 kilometers northeast of Cahors , in the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park . Neighboring municipalities to Lauzès are:

Lauzès is located in the southwestern foothills of the limestone - plateau Causse de Gramat with its distinctive karst formations . In the municipal area itself there is hardly any surface water, only in the extreme southwest does the municipal area reach as far as the River Vers , whose valley is registered as a Natura 2000 protected area under the number FR7300910.

Transport links

The community is away from national transport links. The northern section is accessed by the Départementsstraße D13, the southern section by the D653. The place itself can only be reached via the D10, which connects the other two département roads.
