Bétaille ( Occitan : Betalha ) is a southern French municipality with 1,006 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Gourdon and the canton of Martel (until 2015: canton of Vayrac ). The inhabitants are called Bétaillais .

Bétaille is in the north of the Quercy . The Dordogne borders the municipality in the southwest . Bétaille is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-aux-Saints in the north and north-west, Végennes in the north, Queyssac-les-Vignes in the east and north-east, Bilhac in the east, Tauriac in the south and south-east, Carennac in the south and Vayrac in the west.
