Delion ( Greek Δήλιον Dêlion , Latin Delium ) was a city in Boeotia . It contained, as the similarly named island of Delos , one the god Apollo consecrated temple . Delion was founded from Tanagra and was located on the southern Gulf of Evia , about two kilometers from Oropos and eight kilometers from Tanagra. Today there is still a small place called Dílion (modern Greek translation of "Delion").
