Demetrio Madero García (born December 22, 1960 in San José del Valle , Nayarit ) is a retired Mexican football player who was a central defender for Chivas Guadalajara between 1980 and 1993 .

Career

Madero began his football career in 1978 in the Mexican second division with the Chivas farm team Club Deportivo Tapatío . From 1980 to 1993 he was under contract with Club Deportivo Guadalajara and won the Mexican football championship with this club in the 1986/87 season .

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Madero was the absolute leader of his club and also team captain.
