Democratic renewal movement

The Democratic Renewal Movement ( Arabic حركة التجدد الديموقراطي, DMG Ḥarakat at-taǧaddud ad-dīmuqrāṭī , French Mouvement du renouveau démocratique ) is a political party in Lebanon .

In the May and June 2005 elections , the party was part of the March 14 anti-Syrian alliance , which, led by Saad al-Hariri, won the election.

The party was founded in 2001 by a group of 50 Lebanese politicians, intellectuals and business people. Its chairman is Nassib Lahoud , who was a MP for the al-Mitn district from 1991 to 2005 .

The Democratic Renewal Movement is currently represented by one member in the Lebanese National Assembly, Misbah Ahdab from Tripoli in northern Lebanon .
