The Deniau Island ( French Îlot Deniau ) is a small island off the Graham Coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is halfway between Darboux Island and the Lippmann Islands group .
They were discovered by participants in the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Charcot named it after a sponsor of his research trip.
