Denis Bergeron (born February 9, 1956 in Repentigny ) is a Canadian amateur astronomer and asteroid discoverer .
He is an animal rights activist by profession and uses the observatory in Val-des-Bois ( IAU code 819) in the province of Quebec for his astronomical discoveries .
Between 1999 and 2000 he discovered a total of two asteroids there.
