Denis Wischniewski

Denis Wischniewski (born June 30, 1973 in Reutlingen ) is a German ultra runner and publisher of the trade journal Trail.

Life

Wischniewski started running in 2007 and took part in many international extreme competitions. He ran the Marathon des Sables in the Moroccan Sahara desert, the coldest trail in the world on the Yukon and many alpine ultra trails. His magazine Trail has been self-published every two months at the kiosk since 2012 and reports on running away from paved paths.

In the summer of 2016, Wischniewski ran in 41 stages from Munich to the Bulgarian-Turkish border, covering around 2,100 kilometers. This run was accompanied by a film team. The documentary One Summer Long by Georg-Michael Fischer premiered in 2018.
