Denise (born March 29, 1958 in Duisburg , bourgeois Heike Hielscher) is a German pop singer and writer .

Life

Denise was already on stage when she was nine. After finishing school, she first studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Social Pedagogy . Then she was discovered as a singer by Joachim Heider , who produced some hits with her . The first publications were in 1979 English-language titles in disco sound ( Fire-Storm , Lovin 'the Night Away ). In 1982 she took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . She reached fourth place with the title The Night of Lies . In 1983 she had one of her bigger successes with Schenk mir keine Rosen .

Denise was a guest in some music programs, such as the ZDF hit parade or Die Verflixte 7 on Rudi Carrell . With Jürgen Renfordt she recorded the duet Kein Wort zuviel , the German version of Alan Parsons Project's title Don't Answer Me . In 1984 she won the ZDF hit parade with Enough is Enough . In 1987 she again took part in the preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . Her title The Woman in the Mirror came back to fourth place. After several years of absence from show business, she returned to the stage in June 2006.
