Deniz Kurku

Deniz Kurku (born August 8, 1982 in Delmenhorst ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since 2017 .

Life

Deniz Kurku studied political science at the University of Bremen with a bachelor's degree after graduating from high school in 2003 and doing community service from 2004 . He then worked as a research assistant for the Bundestag members Holger Ortel and Susanne Mittag .

Party and politics

Kurku joined the SPD in 2002. He has been a member of the Delmenhorst City Council since 2011 . In the state election in Lower Saxony in 2017 , he received a direct mandate in the Delmenhorst state constituency .
