The Denki Jigyō Rengōkai ( Japanese 電 気 事業 連 合 会 , short: 電 事 連 , Denjiren , English The Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan , FEPC for short ) is the association of electricity suppliers in Japan . The seat is in Tokyo . The board of directors consists of eight members. FEPC has an office in Washington that opened in 1994.

history

FEPC was founded on November 20, 1952 by the nine regional electricity suppliers that had emerged in 1951 from the state electricity supplier Nihon Hassōden . In March 2000, Okinawa Denryoku also became a member of the FEPC.
