The monument to Princess Stephanie von Hohenzollern is located in the Hofgarten in Düsseldorf-Stadtmitte , not far from Jägerhof Palace , where the honoree spent several years of youth. The monument was created by Julius Bayerle (1826–1873) and renewed in 1890 by Josef Tüshaus .

A "slender Corinthian column" rises above the base, on which a marble bust is placed. This depicts Stephanie von Hohenzollern , the Queen of Portugal , and is intended to commemorate the “legendary charity of the princess' daughter”. The base says:

“THE MEMORY OF
STEPHANIE
KÖNIGIN v. PORTUGAL
PRINCESS v. HOHENZOLLERN
GIRLFRIEND OF THE POOR "

After Marie Sophie von der Pfalz , Stephanie von Hohenzollern is the second Düsseldorf woman to become Queen of Portugal. In Düsseldorf, she is also remembered through Stephanienstraße. In addition, the traditional Düsseldorf St. Sebastianus shooting club celebrates the Stephanie Hohenzollern Memorial Day on May 2nd every year . A hospital in Lisbon is named after her.
