Dennis Hillebrand (born November 30, 1979 in Leonberg ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Dennis Hillebrand started playing football at TSF Ditzingen and then went to VfB Stuttgart , where he played up to the A-youth. At the age of 18 he returned to the regional league team in Ditzingen. There he played two years before he went to league rivals VfR Aalen after the club's relegation. There he recommended himself as a regular player in the defense for higher tasks and they also came with an offer from the second division club SpVgg Greuther Fürth .
However, he had difficulty asserting himself with the Franks. He was only used four times in his first season in 2001/02, three times as a substitute. Only in the second half of the following season was he able to use the loss of a teammate and was a regular in the back four in the last ten games of the season.
When the Fürth team urgently needed a striker shortly after the start of the 2003 season, there was an exchange deal with league competitor LR Ahlen . Marcus Feinbier switched to the Franks shortly before the end of the conversion period, Hillebrand went to Münsterland. But even with the Ahlenern, the Swabian did not make the final breakthrough. After a mixed season, he moved back to his former club VfR Aalen in the Regionalliga in 2004. Back in his home country, he spent three successful years with the club. He was not only a regular player and played over 90 games, with 13 hits in two seasons he became a defensive player with forward qualities.
Nevertheless, in 2007 he switched to FSV Frankfurt , who had recently been promoted to the Regionalliga Süd and signed the experienced defender. The Hessen managed to march through the league in 2008 and rise to the 2nd Bundesliga as first in the table. Dennis Hillebrand had been on the field in all games of the season and almost always played through. The 2008/09 season in the Frankfurt jersey was his third attempt in professional football.
At the beginning of the 2009/10 season Hillebrand moved to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the 3rd division . In two seasons he was used 57 times in defense and scored one goal. His contract, which expired in summer 2011, was not extended. Dennis Hillebrand has been playing at TSV Essingen since the 2011/12 season, with whom he was relegated from the Württemberg Association League in 2012 and to which he returned in 2014 with TSV as the state league champion. At the end of the 2018 season, the cooperation with the club was ended due to the "sporting development".
For the 2018/19 season Hillebrand took over the coaching position at SV Lautern.
