Dennis Janke is an American comic book artist . He was best known for his work on the cartoon characters Superman and Spider-Man .

Life and work

Janke has been working as a full-time ink draftsman since the early 1980s. In this capacity, he mainly revises the pencil drawings of other artists.

In the past, Janke has mainly worked for the US publishers DC Comics and Marvel Comics . He distinguished himself mainly by his work on the series Spider-Man in the 1980s and at various Superman serials such as Superman , Adventures of Superman , Action Comics , Superman: Man of Tomorrow and especially Man of Steel: Superman out . Of the last-mentioned series, Janke inked the first 80 issues almost without exception. He was also allowed to work on a number of special projects such as the high-selling comic Superman: The Wedding Album from 1996.

Janke's other works include The Specter , Batman , Steel , Superboy , Fury of Firestorm , Sword of the Atom , and the miniseries Underworld Unleashed (1995) and Legends (1987).
