Dennis L. McKiernan

Dennis Lester McKiernan (born April 4, 1932 in Moberly , Missouri ) is an American author who is mainly active in the genres of high fantasy , horror fiction and crime .

biography

McKiernan joined the Air Force at the age of 18 and fought for four years as a soldier in the Korean War . After his military service, McKiernan studied electrical engineering . He worked as an armaments engineer for 31 years before deciding to make writing a profession. He wrote his first book in 1977 while recovering from a motorcycle accident. Since retiring from engineering in 1989, Dennis L. McKiernan has written over twenty fantasy novels. He lives in Ohio with his wife and is an avid diver and motorcyclist.
