Dennis Leonard

Dennis Leonard is a sound engineer .

Life

Leonard began his career in the late 1980s. In 1987 he got a job with Skywalker Sound , where he made his debut with the adventure film Willow . His other films include The Godfather III , Species and Cast Away - Verschollen . Later he worked increasingly on computer animation films such as Despicable Me , the sequel Despicable Me 2 , and the offshoot Minions .

In 2003 he was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award in the Best Sound category for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets . At the 2005 Academy Awards he was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Sound Editing category. Between 2000 and 2016 Sayers was nominated 13 times for the Golden Reel Award and won the award twice: 2000 for The Giant from Space and 2006 for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire .
