The department of Colón is located in the east of the Entre Ríos province in central Argentina and is one of 17 administrative units in the province.
It is bordered by the Concordia Department in the north, Uruguay in the east, the Uruguay Department in the south and the San Salvador and Villaguay Department in the west .
The capital of the department of Colón is the Colón of the same name .
