Diana Rasimovičiūtė-Brice
Diana Rasimovičiūtė , married Brice , (born February 25, 1984 in Ignalina , Lithuanian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Lithuanian biathlete .
Career
Diana Rasimovičiūtė is a sports soldier in the Lithuanian Army and is trained by Vilius Repšys. She made her international debut in 2001 at a World Cup race in Ruhpolding . In the sprint, she was 98th and third from bottom. Shortly afterwards, she also started at her first world championships in Pokljuka . In the sprint she was 78th In the following years Rasimovičiūtė improved slowly but steadily. At the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City , she again took part in the individual and was already 66. At the Junior World Championships in 2003 in Kościelisko , she was eleventh in the sprint, at the subsequent Summer Biathlon World Championships 20.
In 2004 she also took part in the military world championships and achieved a 12th place with the relay as the best placement. Successful for them were the Junior World Championships 2005 in Kontiolahti , in which Rasimovičiūtė was fifth in the sprint and sixth in individual and in the pursuit. The 2006 Olympic Games in Turin were also quite successful for her personally. With an 18th place in the sprint, she was able to place in the top 20 in the senior category for the first time. She achieved her best World Cup result in the following season 2006/06. In Pokljuka , she managed an eleventh place in the sprint. Rasimovičiūtė's main drawback is the unconvincing shooting performance, as it rarely hit half of all targets, especially in earlier years. In the 2008/2009 season Diana Rasimovičiūtė was able to increase her hit rate to 80% and was eleventh in the sprint race at the 2009 World Cup . In the 2009/2010 season Diana Rasimovičiūtė came tenth in the sprint race in Oberhof, making it into the top ten for the first time in her career. Diana Rasimovičiūtė participated in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Her best result was 25th place in the sprint. In the individual she was 30th, in the pursuit she came in 34th. At the 2010 Biathlon European Championships in Otepää , Estonia , Diana Rasimovičiūtė finished second in the individual race and won her first international medal. In the sprint she repeated the success. So far, she achieved her best result in the World Cup by finishing ninth in a sprint race in the 2011/12 season .
