In the preliminary round on February 15, 2020, twelve performers took part. An international jury, an Armenian jury and the audience each decided a third on the winner of the preliminary decision.
Choice of contribution
From November 5, 2019 to December 31, 2019, contributions could be submitted to ARMTV. In addition to the rules for the Song Contest, interested performers had to be Armenian citizens or of Armenian descent.
