The Depot Glacier is a clearly defined valley glacier flanked by lateral moraines at the northern end of the Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows into the head end of Hope Bay in the form of a towering ice cliff .
It was discovered during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of the polar explorer Otto Nordenskjöld . He named it so because it was considered a location for a supply depot when viewed from the Antarctic Sound .
