Hradiště Depot III

The Custodian III of Hradiště (also hoard III of Hradiště ) is a hoard of Early Bronze Age Unetice culture from Hradiště , a district of Písek in Jihočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. The depot is now in the National Museum in Prague .

Find history

The depot was first mentioned in 1891, the exact circumstances of the find are unknown.

In 1984 and before 1963, two more depot finds ( Depot I and Depot II ) were discovered in Hluboká , but these date from the late Bronze Age .

composition

The depot consists of 25 bronze bars . The ends of most pieces are hollow and some have recently broken off. The completely preserved specimens have lengths between 275 mm and 295 mm. No information is available on the weight.
