from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The custodian of Stehelčeves I (also hoard I of Stehelčeves ) is a hoard of Early Bronze Age Unetice culture of Stehelčeves in Středočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is now in the National Museum in Prague .

Find history

The depot was first mentioned in 1887. At that time, it was discovered several years ago. The exact circumstances of the find are unknown. A "sand hill" ("Na Santüblu") is given as the place of discovery, which cannot be precisely localized. From Stehelčeves there is a single find of an eyelet collar from the Aunjetitz culture as well as a second deposit, which, however, dates to the late Bronze Age.

composition

The depot originally consisted of several bronze objects of unknown type and number. Most were melted down after the discovery. Only five eyelet neck rings have survived. Their surfaces have fine facets .
