Depot I by Velké Žernoseky
The Depot I Velké Žernoseky (also hoard I Velké Žernoseky ) is a hoard of Early Bronze Age Unetice culture from Velké Žernoseky in kraj Ústecký , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is now in the Chomutov Museum .
Find history
The depot was discovered before 1924. The exact location and the circumstances of the find are unknown. From Velké Žernoseky there are still two individual finds of bronze objects from the Aunjetitz culture as well as two other depot finds ( II and III ), which, however, date to the late Bronze Age.
composition
The depot consists of two solid bronze oval rings. They were made in double-shell molds. The shape of one specimen had shifted slightly, while the other had air bubbles formed during casting. The ends of the rings are ribbed. Cast seams can be seen on the inside.
