Bavoryně depot

The Bavoryně Depot (also known as the Bavoryně hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Bavoryně in Středočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. The depot is now in the National Museum in Prague .

Find history

The depot was first mentioned in 1884, the exact circumstances of the find are unknown. When he bought it, Josef Smolík mistakenly thought it was a piece of clothing from a grave.

composition

The depot consists of two bronze bars and a fragment of a third. The latter has recently been broken off and deformed.
