Dušníky nad Vltavou depot

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dušníky nad Vltavou depot (also known as the Dušníky nad Vltavou hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Dušníky nad Vltavou , a district of Všestudy u Veltrus in Středočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. Today the depot is divided between the Podřipské Museum in Roudnice nad Labem and the National Museum in Prague .

Find history

The depot was discovered in 1881 southeast of Dušníky during field work together with over 100 ceramic vessels. The site is located on a brook, which is probably an old arm of the Vltava .

composition

The depot consists of two bronze arm spirals and 30 eyelet neck rings . Of these, an arm spiral and 18 rings are in Prague and the rest are probably in Roudnice, whose collection, however, was not accessible in Václav Moucha's documentation. The spiral arm in Prague consists of a ribbon with a lenticular cross-section. One end is broken off, the other is deformed. 16 of the eyelet neck rings have a finely faceted surface, another is only faceted at one end.
