Kluk depot

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kluk depot (also known as the Kluk hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Kluk , a district of Poděbrady in Středočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is now in the Poděbrady Museum .

Find history

The depot was discovered on March 18, 1915, south of Kluk in the Bor forest area near the Princess Marie's chapel while digging root stocks. It lay in sandy earth at a depth of 0.7 m. The finds were originally thought to be grave goods , but according to Václav Moucha this is unlikely due to the lack of bone fragments.

composition

The depot consists of two bronze arm spirals and a ridge hatchet . The spirals consist of a ribbon with a lens-shaped cross-section and have rounded, slightly thinning ends. One end is bent (probably modern).
