Klaus friend
Klaus Freund (* 1938 in Leipzig ) is a former German racing cyclist and national champion in cycling .
Athletic career
Freund was a specialist in short-distance races on the track , but also competed in road races . He was active in the GDR . In 1958 and 1959 he won the GDR championship in tandem races with Erich Mähne . Freund started first for the SC Rotation Leipzig , later for the SC Dynamo Berlin .
